Statutory Accounts
Right to Manage (RTM) companies and Residents' Management Companies (RMCs) are generally required to meet statutory filing obligations under UK company law, including filing annual accounts with Companies House. Responsibility for ensuring these obligations are met rests with the company's directors, even where the company has little income or activity beyond its property management functions.
Service charge funds are generally held on trust for the leaseholders and are treated separately from the company's own funds. Their treatment in statutory accounts depends on the applicable accounting requirements and the circumstances of the company. Although an RTM or RMC may have relatively few transactions of its own to report, this does not automatically remove its statutory filing obligations.
As part of our management service, Block Management UK Ltd can arrange for the preparation and filing of statutory accounts on behalf of your company, where instructed. We help directors keep track of important deadlines and ensure the necessary documentation is submitted to Companies House in accordance with the applicable requirements.
Our aim is to simplify company administration, support directors in meeting their responsibilities and help reduce the risk of late filing penalties and unnecessary complications.
