Tom Mortimer joined the company in 2018 and through hard work and dedication, has progressed to be part of the senior management team.
Tom said he loves his job at BMUK, particularly the supportive company culture.
He said: “I joined Block Management UK in October 2018. I had just turned 20 and this was pretty much my first full time role.
“I started in an entry-level job and have worked my way up through the company.
“I had started here in the client support team, answering phones and handling enquiries, then was given my own portfolio of properties as an assistant property manager.
“My current role varies depending on what needs to be done but the main thing at the moment is health and safety and fire safety.
“I also handle a lot of insurance valuations, making sure sites’ insurance is up to date and that the full cost of the buildings are covered.
“All blocks and estates are different, so you need to understand each property and its requirements.
“Having progressed through the company from the ground up, I have found it a huge benefit and something I would recommend to anyone.
“It’s a great place to work, the team are supportive and always there to lend a hand.”
Tom is eager to keep learning and wants to achieve his Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM) qualification.
“There’s so much to learn – I don’t think people with ten-years’ experience know everything,” he said.
